Hans C. Kioschos, M.D.

As a former high school and college athlete, Hans Kioschos, M.D., understands the frustration of a sidelining injury. His work as an Orthopedic Surgeon at Powder River Orthopedics & Spine-A Campbell County Clinic, as well as being the team physician for local athletic teams, has given Dr. Kioschos the pleasure of helping athletes reach their potential, in spite of sports-related injury, as well as working with patients to maintain their active lifestyles.

Dr. Kioschos completed his undergraduate training at Duke University before continuing to complete his medical training at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed his residency at University of Kansas Medical Center in 1997, before moving to Gillette. He is doubled certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Specializing in Sports Medicine, Dr. Kioschos is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, among others. Dr. Kioschos has been published as well as being awarded for his research with posterior spine fusion.

Dr. Kioschos enjoys remaining close to competitive sports through an active role as the team physician for the Gillette College Pronghorn men and women’s basketball teams as well as the Gillette Wild junior hockey team. This includes not only care for injuries, but player decisions about returning to play and other medical concerns.

When not working to improve his patients active lifestyles, Dr. Kioschos enjoys snowboarding, kiteboarding and wakeboarding around our region. He says “if it has a board, I want to try it!”. Dr. Kioschos enjoys the high level of recreational activities in Wyoming.
